Delete your account

If you created an account in Salem News, you can request deletion using the options below. This page helps meet Google Play expectations for account deletion visibility.

How to request deletion

1. In the app (preferred): Open Settings and use any sign-out or account options your build provides. If in-app delete is available, follow that flow.
2. By email: Send a message from your registered email address to the email address listed on our Contact page with subject line Account deletion, and include the email or user ID you used to register.

What we remove

We delete or anonymise your account profile and associated personal data that is not required to be kept for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

What we may retain

• Records we must keep by law (e.g. tax or fraud-prevention periods).
• Aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer identify you.
• Server logs retained for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.

Timing

We process verified requests as soon as practicable, typically within a few business days after we confirm your identity. Complex cases may take longer; we will reply by email.
